This is something for the ladies. And the men. Those who enjoy husband and wife producing surprisingly good pop music.
New Look are a Canadian (eh?) electronic-pop duo that published their self-titled debut album in 2011, and it’s a real jewel – tunes that manage to walk the borderline between anthem and sophistication. They’re very akin to The XX in their reduced sound, although more electronic, but most of the songs could also be Madonna covers.
Exempli gratia, a song that I will never skip when it comes up in shuffle: Drive You Home.
